What is a weapon?

If you want to get technical, anything can be a weapon from the obvious firearms down to water, all can be and have been used for offensive purposes. According to most of the laws I know about, a weapon can be classified into firearms, blunt and edged weapons. There could be more than that, but I think that covers it.

Weapons are tools. Yes, a firearm’s use is limited by the fact that you shoot what you are aiming at and a hole appears, but I would rather use a firearm to bring down a large Buck or Bear than go one on one with a knife. Continue reading “What is a Weapon?”

How do I make a fire?

First, you need something that will burn. A cord of seasoned wood would be nice, but most of the time when you are making a fire while camping, you have to gather fuel from fallen limbs, underbrush and weeds. At least you should. Try to only use fallen wood to keep the impact down. If you are in a public area, check the regulations before heading in. Continue reading “How do I make a Fire?”

A Camping Checklist

We go camping often (as possible) and I still need the checklist to get everything, and everybody, into the van. Without lists, sometimes things get left behind. On occasion, people, too.
