There are some things out there that you really should avoid trying to eat. But what are they?

Honeysuckle is great for birds, but the berry is not edible to humans. The honeysuckle has a wonderful scent while it is flowering and the flowers themselves are edible. I would avoid the red or yellow berries, though.
Wild grapes are everywhere in North America with several species depending on where you are. One impostor that you do have to be wary of is the Moonseed or Parilla. The plant is poisonus from top to bottom, unlike grapes. The small purple berries have one crecent shaped seed instead of several little oval seeds. The leaves are distictive alongside an actual grape lef - Grape leaves usually have three distict points(and look like the 5 pointed maple leaf) and the Moonseed has rounder, less distinct lobes.
(thank you to Nancy for her email to point me towards Moonseed.)
