Grapes are tenacious. They will grow almost anywhere. This pine tree was almost choked by the amount of grapes hanging off of it.

The wild grape can be eaten, though it is quite sour. You can boil the grapes in water for a good drink, or just pop them into your mouth for a snack. Be careful of the seeds.

The bigest problem with wild grapes is the taste, though the small berries can be troublesome if you are eating mostly grapes for your meal. The seeds can be over half the bulk of a wild grape.
