I had been fighting my Survivalist Gene for years. I finally succumbed after
my father died. With everything that was happening at that point, including
my *Husband* being in a major car accident only 3 weeks after Thorbjorn left
us, we did not get around to going through my father’s stuff for almost
a year. Many boxes of miscellania were stashed until we were emotionally ready
to deal with things.
One of the things that came out of hiding was my father’s ‘survival’
pack. Notice the quotes. I do not believe some of the things that he had in
it. He had good intentions, and he did have military training to his credit.
This does not mean that he had much common sense.
Lets go through what my father had hidden away for a quick ‘grab and go’.
