mini pack for emergencies

I recently put together something for a door prize for a Business group I belong to. Being me, and cheap, I found things around the house and put together something that would be handy for anyone who is traveling, in a car, hiking or even air travel. These 'Mini-Packs' are great to have in your car, in your carry on luggage or your daypack - just in case. There are multiple clear plastic sealable bags within one large bag and this one only took up the size of a gallon sealed bag and weighed less than a pound.

pocket knife with cord loop candles and matches in a plastic sealed bag.

These items are more for use in a car or hiking situation. The knife is just big enough to be useful for cutting up an apple or going through a stick for roasting marshmallows. The candles, packed with matches, are the up to 6 hour burn type and are very useful if you are caught without light or heat.

One word of caution - If you use the Mini Pack for air travel, do not pack a knife. It will be confiscated and you will not get it back.

energy bar plastic sealed bag with candy and cough drops

Having a little snack with you can be the difference between making it home, or having to pay $20.00 for a hamburger at the Airport. The coughdrops and candy are good for keeping your mouth moist, and your breath fresh, and the energy bar is enough calories to make up for that missed meal while waiting for the next flight. Make sure you pack energy bars you can handle(no slime flavored) and are nutritionally sound.

toilet paper in plastic sealed bag moistened infant wipes in sealed plastic bag

These two look alike (other than the bad flash on one...), but they aren't. One has toilet paper in it, the other has moistened infant wipes -the cleaning wipes preferred by the military. When you are out in the wilds, or fighting the Airport crowds, it is handy having a little extra with you, just in case.
