When I camp, I use mostly man made fibers for my ropes. They do not rot in storage and can be a little rough when used. This one is one I put together with an equestrian (horse) tie-down latch. The rope and latch combination is handy for all sorts of things, including hanging the pack off the ground at night.
This is my watch. I love to have a time piece, since I kill them. It can hang off my belt, my purse or the backpack.
