I recently went through my picture collection and came across several that
I had taken a few years ago in our city arboretum. It was a cold, rainy day(seems
that is the only time I get out), and the lighting was great for taking snapshots.
The trees were turning fall colors and the fruit on the trees were ripe for
harvesting, if it hadn't been a protected grove.

I think that the above picture is a type of cherry. I took it from under the sweep of the branches looking out on one of the clearings of the arboretum. It was raining and you can just make out some drops from off of some of the fruit.

The Red Maple above was surrounded by smaller trees that had not started to turn fall colors, yet. The maple stood over 30 feet tall and I was close to 50 feet away to be able to take this picture.
